That ice storm was rough.

Man, this past week has been brutal.

I know a lot of folks around Middle Tennessee are still dealing with the aftermath of the ice storm. Being without power is hard enough, but it’s even worse when your house can’t hold the heat.

If you were sitting in the dark shivering, you

probably noticed exactly where the cold air was coming from. When the furnace stops running, you find out real quick which windows are doing their job and which ones aren't.

Honestly, a lot of homes in Franklin and Nashville have windows that are basically just holes in the wall when it gets this cold.

If you felt a draft coming off the glass, or if your house dropped to freezing temperatures way too fast after the power cut, it’s time to look at replacements. Good, energy-efficient windows keep the heat inside your house, which keeps you warmer for a lot longer if the grid goes down again.

Don't wait until the next freeze. Give us a call at Franklin Window Co. We can come take a look and help you get buttoned up before winter takes another swing at us.

Stay warm, y'all.
