New Year’s resolutions have become a bit of a cliché. We tend to pick these huge, lofty goals, and fall off the wagon by February. But the New Year is a great opportunity to start fresh.
Instead of the usual "all or nothing" approach, we at Franklin Window Company want to challenge everyone to pick just a couple of small, manageable goals this year.
Change doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful. If you’re looking for a place to start, here are a few ideas:
- Take 10 minutes of quiet: Before the chaos of the day starts, sit by a window with your coffee and practice gratitude. No phone, no emails.
- Drink one extra glass of water: Forget the gallon-a-day challenge; just start with one more than usual.
- Brighten someone’s day: Commit to sending one encouraging text a week to a friend.
- Step outside for 10 minutes: Even if it’s just a quick lap around the yard or standing on the porch, a little fresh air and vitamin D go a long way for your head space.
- Park at the back of the lot: You don't need a marathon—just a few extra steps during your errands at the grocery store.
Our point is this: Small shifts lead to big results over time. Happy New Year!
